Houssam Hassib, is a civil engineer that lives and works in Paris, France that clearly loves making and playing what is commonly referred to as LoFi dance music. A guitar player since childhood and DJ since high school Sam like so many budding producers paused his passion for creating music in order to study and get a real job.

Then came 2020. This EP aptly titled “VOILA” brings Sam's ideas to a wider audience than the space most commonly occupied by budding civil engineer/bedroom producers. Like many folk this year, Sam had to cancel a vacation on the beaches of Portugal and decided to make some music instead that he could throw on, close his eyes and float away envisioning faraway places.

The result is four hypnotic chill lofi/deep house tracks with some heavy bass undercurrents and funky percussive elements that work in his own words as “a smooth journey in the space”. We’d tend to agree with this estimate. In a time of much nothingness, it’s pretty cool to see people producing something out of nothing. Voila!
